Arizona Performa and Back
No Formula hit the road and played in Mesa, Arizona last weekend. We landed at the Goat Hill Saloon and played on a pretty cool stage to a thirsty crowd. We were well received by Marcie who booked us for the show, Storm who ran the audio, and about 100 people who had no clue who we were.
The drive out there was fine. It was hot, but AC fixed that. The show was fun, and special thanks to all of you that came up to us after the show. The guy who told us that, "You changed my f*$king life," took us a bit off guard, and we where really happy to drink the pitcher of beer you bought us!
I'm tired of typing so I will try to make this quick. The show at the Goat Head Saloon was great. We had a good time.
The next night we saw Henry Rollins at the Crescent Ballroom. It was sold out as it should be and Mr. Rollins was amazing. It was the second time we had seen him, and he is truly inspiring. He says that his goal is to be the oldest performer holding a mic. I think he will do it. After the show we hit the Phoenix scene to see whats what. After about an hour when we had seen everything twice, (sorry Phoenix....you know it's true), we made our way back past the Crescent Ballroom only to see Henry Rollins still there taking some pictures with the security staff. The opportunity was there and it was taken. To meet Henry, and Shake his hand was a great thing. It is something that will always be remembered. He is an ICON who made his mark in the world, and I think he is just getting started.
Good times.
Anyway...Our next show is in Santa Ana, California at Malone's. Oct 12. See you there.
